RFID Antenna

This RFID antenna was developed for use under a floor mat. Using it with the Texas Instrument RFID reader it can detect 50 items in a shopping cart passing over it provided the RFID tags are at leaset 2 inches away from each other. The figure below shows the different antenna's tested.

There was also Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) antenna developed. The interrogation zone specification was two feet by two feet by three inches high. This specification was met by tuning the antenna using a 3M reader. The SIDS RFID antenna was developed for use in a baby crib to detect when a baby rolled over. The figure below shows the antenna developed and tested to meet this specification.
